ABOUT THE COTTAGE
Our amazing cottage is at the very end of the peninsula called Wolfe's Neck near Freeport, Maine. It's simple, three season architecture is comforting and peaceful with water views on three sides. Enjoy sunrise and sunsets from this wonderful waterfront retreat. There are four bedrooms that sleep 6, one full bathroom, a kitchen and a great room with a single daybed. If you want to unwind, enjoy the outdoors and spend time away from the fray then the cottage life is for you.
THE LANDSCAPE
The cottage has room to roam... Especially when the tide is out. The focus here is always the water. The tides shaking hands with the rocks twice a day. The birds, the seals and the boats are always putting on some kind of display. Check your tide chart here.
WHAT'S HERE?
Full kitchen
The kitchen has a large farm sink, dishwasher, washer, range and refrigerator. Other appliances include a coffee maker and toaster. Plus, everything you need for lobster and clams is here. A charcoal grill is located on the patio
The neighborhood
This is a peaceful residential area and everyone likes it this way. Please enjoy your stay while allowing others to enjoy their stay as well.
Swimming
Although the water is chilly, it is refreshing and super fun to swim. Try to get in at least once for bragging rights. Enjoy the water daily for some cold water immersion for health and well being!
Entertainment
The TV has a VCR and DVD player but no cable and there is NO internet connection. A retro style radio is also in the cottage for your entertainment. Cell service is average. Most like to 'unplug' here.
Fishing
Many species are caught from your kayaks and the shore. Bring your gear for salt water!
Wood stove
The wood stove is old but it can provide heat on a cold morning or chilly evening.
